A New Year!

Somehow, I'm amazed that 2009 has gone by so quickly! We had a White Christmas for the first time in many years. Our boys have had so much fun sledding, building snowforts, snowpeople and just plain having fun in the snow. David and Daniel love coming in afterwards for hot chocolate with marshmallows! Which brings back memories for me, growing up in New Jersey with my siblings (three brothers and one sister).

Life has been challenging over the last year. How many people can say they managed to get through a year of a crashing economy, rising gas prices, the drama of Wall Street and the Bank bailouts, two wars, and those who want to hurt Americans...

Despite all that.. I count my blessings... I'm relatively healthy, enjoying life with my husband and two boys, we have a roof over our heads, and both of us have our jobs. My husband, Dave and I are working on our communication skills, so we can learn to tackle our problems together and make the best of what we have. Best of all, we have Hope.. Hope that 2010 will be a better year for all of us.

Happy New Year!

A few thoughts

Life is full of Beauty everywhere:

Watching my two sons, talking and chatting like old friends... and they are 9 and 6 1/2 years old.

The smile on my husband Dave's face, when our boys surprise him with crazy questions!

Watching the rain fall gently from the skies, and counting our blessings for a good rain.

An early morning sunrise... with the sun peeking over the horizon and a soft haze over everything.

Hearing the marvel of life's sounds outside, even more so since I received a cochlear implant 2 1/2 years ago. Discovering that there are several different bird calls resounding in the trees! I had no idea...

Unpacking my new package from Southern Living at Home and marveling at the creative genius of their designers.. I love the new Christmas Memories Diffuser Vase and Saucer. It will be perfect for my new "Calm" scent and reed diffusers. See the new Fall Catalog on my website: www.Southernlivingathome.com/virginiacrocker

Savoring my new complexion courtesy of a wonderful new skincare company, Votre Vu.. which means "Your You"... Why? My skin had been changing as I was getting older (Me!!), and I also have Rosacea now.. boy was I unhappy! Then I heard about Votre Vu.. and asked for some samples. Once I tried the samples, I tried the specific skin care regimen that was recommended and loved it so much that I became an Independent Consultant for Votre Vu! I just had to share it with my friends and family. :-) See www.votrevu.com/virginia or click on the videos here to check it out.
